Meowy Christmas for CHNC Extra for January

It's the beginning of a new year - so why not make a start on your Christmas cards now to avoid the panic later on in the year!  To help you get inspired, go over and have a look at the new challenge at CHNC Extra for January.

Each month we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and for my make this month I have used Meowy Christmas Cats.

I have also used a paper from a Christmas paper pad and a red card blank.  The image is coloured with copic markers and I also added some Stickles to the hat.  The sentiment is from another Bugaboo image called Make It Snappy - Meowy Christmas.  I used some red cardstock for matting and die-cut a star from green cardstock using a Spellbinders die before glittering with Kindy Glitz.  I added some rhinestones to the card and to the star.

Snowmen and Snowflakes

Today to start off the New Year we have a bleak looking day - considering it is the middle of summer it is definitely not usual weather for this time of the year.

I have made a card containing snowmen and snowflakes.  Now, both the challenges at QKR Stampede and Eureka Stamps are for Snowmen or Snowflakes but several of the DT cards had both and I didn't notice the "or" until I went to upload so I hope it is okay to have both!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
QKR Stampede - Snowmen or Snowflakes
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2015/12/qkr-stampede-challenge-171-snowmen-or.html
Eureka Stamps - Snowmen or Snowflakes
http://eurekastamps.blogspot.co.nz/2015/12/eureka-stamps-challenge-173-snowmen-or.html

I have used a Christmas paper from MME for the background.  I haven't used anything from this particular paper pad for quite a while so it was nice to delve back into it!  The image is from QKR Stampede and is coloured with copic markers.  I added some Stickles under the snowmen to ground them and also to the hat of the centre snowman.  The snowflakes have been cut from gold card using a snowflake hand punch - which I had forgotten I had!  I embellished the centres of the snowflakes with pearls from Rosie's Studio.  Across the centre of the card is a strip of gold mesh ribbon.  Matting is red cardstock.

Christmas Flower

I started working on uploading this card last night but got distracted as my teenagers dragged me in to listen to them on the Sing Star!  It's amazing how many songs they know that were hits before they were born!  Anyway, as a result it is probably the first year in a long time that I have actually seen the New Year in!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
A Day For Daisies - Add pearls

Christmas Joy

I had intended this card to be sent this year - but I fell behind due to sickness so it will have to be for next year now!

LPCF

The start of a new year of challenges at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  This first challenge we are sponsored by Michele R Designs and Moonflower Digi Stamps.

I have used a pack of papers and embellishments from Michele R Designs called Vintage Garden Party.  I edged the embellishments with Distress Marker - Spun Sugar and  added some Liquid Pearls to the flower centres.  The image is from Moonflower Digi Stamps and is called Tumbellina.  I coloured here with copic markers to match the background papers.  I also added some Stickles to the flower centres in the image.

Ornamented Reindeer

The reindeer seems fairly tolerant of the birdies decorating him with ornaments.

Have a Paw-some Christmas

I'm a bit touch and go with getting this card completed - having been unwell for most of December.  I've just finished a stronger dose of medicine which appears to be finally drying up my cough - let's hope it stays that way!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

Sadly, this will be the last Digi of the Month challenge.  I have enjoyed having the challenge of having to work with a specified image - although there usually is a choice of sentiments to go with the image.

Happy Owlidays

This is such an adorable image.

Merry Christmas from Ron

Ron wants to wish all his new elf friends a very Merry Christmas.

Now he couldn't personally give them each a hug, so he got a couple of friends to stand in to accept some Christmas hugs on their behalf:

Ron is already celebrating Christmas Day as it is 8:30am on Christmas Morning.

He is wishing all his elf friends at DL Art:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

Discovery!

I think I finally found out what Ron has been up to!

I have seen him getting out patterned paper from the paper box, some red glitter ribbon, some red cord, red tree embellishments, some red organza ribbon, using copic markers and colouring elf images.  I can see all of it in his creation.

My canvasses  seem to have disappeared from my wall though.

Caught in the act of hanging something in their place:

I couldn't quite see what it said so I zoomed in and took some more photos:

Oh dear!

Do I have to put up with that as a Christmas decoration?

I have decided to link up the banner to the challenge at:
CHNC - Anything Christmas

The elf images are from Melonheadz.

Brown Sugar - Buttons
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2015/12/challenge-176-buttons.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Sugar and Spice Studio.  The green piece on the left is the revere of the paper.  I matted with some red cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  The image as I said above is from Sassy Studio Designs and is coloured with copic markers E00, E35, E31, G17, G14, YG06, YG03, R59, R46 plus I have added Liquid Pearls in gold and Stickles - Star Dust.  The tree has been die-cut from pearlescent paper using a Memory Box die and then embossed.  I also added a present topper from Rosie's Studio which I glittered with Stickles - Star Dust.

Midway - 12 months of Christmas

It is midway through the challenge at 12 months of Christmas.  This month our optional theme is Santa Claus is Coming to Town and we are sponsored by Rick St Dennis.  At the time of writing this my card doesn't show on the post as the image got lost in transit and by the time I realised, received the image and created the post was already live!

Anyhow, I used the image called Dancing Santa.

I have also used one of the papers from the December digi paper set by Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  I coloured the image with copic markers and added some Stickles - Star Dust.  The bow and the sentiment are from Rosie's Studio.  I also added three red pearls from Rosie's Studio.  I die-cut the image with a Spellbinders Labels die and added some faux stitching with a Distress Marker - Fired Brick.

Wanna build a snowman?

I don't think you'll find any snow here to build one though!  Although, despite it being summer it is not exactly warm here today.

I originally printed out this image for the previous challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs and then I came down sick and didn't get any further.  Fortunately, it fit for the current challenge as well as the challenge sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!

Feeling Sketchy!

I liked the sketch at Feeling Sketchy - but having been unwell last week didn't think I was going to complete this card.  Got there with a little time to spare!

Make it Funny for Christmas

We have a Christmas theme with "Make it Funny" this week at Incy Wincy Designs.   Our sponsor this week is Dr Digi's House of Stamps.

I have used the image called "I'm Dreaming of a Wide Christmas"  and teamed it up with this sentiment also from Dr Digis House of Stamps.

I have also used a paper from a Christmas paper pad.  I added some washi tape to the side.  Colouring is with copic markers.

Golden Christmas

I picked a starry paper to match the star in the image.  I also rotated the sketch to fit the image I had chosen.
