Last Month of 2015

So, if you haven't got your Christmas cards completed yet, we have some inspiration for you at CHNC Extra for December!  And when you do create those cards, please link them up to our challenge.

I have used a paper from Sugar and Spice Studio which I felt worked really well this image.  The image is Christmas Trio Blocks from Bugaboo Stamps.  I coloured the image with copic markers and added some Stickles as well.  I matted with some red textured cardstock from American Crafts.  I also used some deep red mesh ribbon.

Christmas Trees?

What is that elf doing now?

Looks like Ron has discovered some more red Christmas embellishments - and tipped them out all over the place!

You can check out what Ron's friends Daisy and Arci are up to at this link:

Hopefully some more elves will join in soon.

Beccy's Place - Day 25 (Use A Freebie)

There are so many beautiful freebies on Beccy's freebie page.  I decided to work with this one - and again went with slightly unusual colours!

Beccy's Place - Day 26 (Christmas Carols)

When I saw this particular challenge I thought of Little Drummer Boy and then this image that I had only just found among the freebies!

Beccy's Place - Day 30 (Do what you love)

I had already used my favourite colour of yellow and my favourite style of CAS appears frequently, so I decided I would create my favourite easel card!

I have used some Kingfisher Blue cardstock for the base.  The images are from Beccy's Place and are coloured with copic markers.  I added a sentiment from a vintage embellishment set and added pearls as stoppers.  I also added some gold Peelcraft stickers alongside each image.

Beccy's Place - Day Nineteen (Snow Globes)

This card didn't photograph very well - between the foil paper and the embossed acetate!

The Outlawz Friday Challenge - Christmas
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/friday-color/forum/topics/friday-coloring-challenge-november-27th-december-3rd

I have used a foiled embossed snowflake paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image and sentiment are both from Beccy's Place.  The stand for the larger Snow Globe is the same as the smaller Snow Globe - which is a Memory Box die.  I'm hoping that by overlapping the two Snow Globes that I have given the impression that the base is larger on the bigger Snow Globe!  I have used a snowflake embossing folder on the acetate.  Colouring of the image is with copic markers.  I also added some pearls from Rosie's Studio.

Beccy's Place - Day 28 (Something Old)

I have kept this one fairly CAS as I wanted to be able to post this one easily.

Beccy's Place - Day 20 (Negative Colouring)

Okay - this one I found difficult but I wasn't going to let it get the better of me.  I'm not exactly pleased with it - but I'm proud I gave it a go!  If you want to give this a go, there is a tutorial at Beccy's Place which you can find by following the link below.

Beccy's Place - Day Seventeen (CASE Yourself)

This challenge Beccy asked us to CASE ourselves.  I found a card that I created in September 2013:

And here is the CASE:

Beccy's Place - Day Six (Masking)

I used some old Masking Fluid that I have had from the days that I did calligraphy.  It was a bit thick and a bit hard to use - but I did manage in the end!

This is an image I won in this year's Month Long Christmas Cards challenge at Beccy's Place:

The challenge is to create a card using a Tutorial.  I found that Splitcoasters have a lot of cardmaking tutorials and decided to create an accordion card following this tutorial:

Beccy's Place - Day Seven (Shaped Cards)

Firstly I was going to create an easel card and then I wasn't quite sure that that was a "Shaped" card so I went through my dies and discovered I had quite a large ornament shaped die.  It was perfect for the card and a smaller size in the same set worked for the image.

Beccy's Place - Day 29 (Something New)

Yesterday I went to a Special Olympics Swim Meet as I am a Volunteer Coach.  On the way home we stopped for something to eat.   My daughter spotted a Spotlight store and wanted to go in.  While we were browsing I came across a packet of Christmas ribbons which included 8 yellow ones.  As my favourite colour is yellow I just had to have it.  When I got home and checked the latest Beccy's Place challenge I found it was to use your newest stash item.  That was easy!!

What is the elf up to now?

I have a new elf this year - but hadn't given him a name.  Melissa commented asking what his name was.  My daughter looked at my elf and thought it looked like Ron from Harry Potter.  Not being familiar with Harry Potter but knowing that she is, I decided to take her word for it.  So, Ron he is!

Now I'm not really sure what Ron is doing here.  He seems to have found my glitter ribbon for embellishing my Christmas cards - and unrolled it!  Naughty Ron!

I might have to lock my crafting supplies away so he can't get them!

http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/november-challenge.html

I'm not sure whether my Christmas tree is enough of a "feature" for the challenge - but it is more so than some of the other entries so I thought I'd enter it anyway!

I have used a paper and a sentiment from Rosie's Studio.  The image is from QKR Stampede and has been coloured with copic markers.  I doodled around the image with a Distress Marker - Festive Berries.  The die I used to cut the image is from Spellbinders.

Beccy's Place - Day One (Coloured Pencils)

I bought a few Inktense pencils a couple of years ago when I was on holiday.  I used them just after I bought them and then haven't used them again since.  I am pleased with the result of the colouring on this card so perhaps should use them more often!

Cupcake Inspirations - Bears

I have used a paper from a Christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft.  I added some satin ribbon and a bow.  The image is from Beccy's Place and is coloured with Inktense Pencils..  I matted with some red glitter cardstock.

I have some of the cards for the Beccy's Place month long challenge in various stages of completion.  As it is getting near to the end of the month, I'm going to have to work hard on getting them completed and the completed ones photographed and blogged!  Hopefully, I will complete them all by month end.

Wishing you a Speedy Recovery

This is the hardest image that I have worked with.  After looking at it for a while, I thought he looked quite sick with the marks on his face - so decided to go with a Get Well card with a difference.  I'm still not that sure about the card - but I'm glad that I didn't baulk at the challenge!

I have used a patterned paper from MME for the background.  The image is from SLS Lines and the sentiment from Desert Diva.  I die-cut the image and sentiment using dies from Spellbinders.  I coloured the image with copic markers and inked the edges with Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers.  I also added some glitter ribbon and some pearls from Rosie's Studio.

Christmas Present

I combined two challenges sponsored by A Day For Daisies to create this card:

For some reason, this card just won't photograph clearly.  I have photographed it 7 times and this is the best shot (taken by my son who thought he could get it clear).  I might try and photograph it again tomorrow in natural daylight and see if that turns out any better.  It is night time here and so I need to use the flash for any photographs tonight.  All the other cards I have photographed tonight have photographed clear.

This morning's version is much better:

I used a red patterned paper from a Christmas paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  I added some glitter tape across and down the card to imitate Christmas wrapping.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and is coloured with Distress Inks.  I stamped the inks onto a tile and then wet my brush and painted the image.  The die I used to cut the image is from Spellbinders.

You Passed

Both of my children are planning to sit their Learners over the Christmas holiday period - which gives them from next week through to February to get it done!  This one will probably be for my son as it is in more masculine colours so I'll have to create another for my daughter.
